In My Mailbox (7)

Every sunday or saturday (depends on how I feel) I will show you the books that I bought, recieved or borrowed! This meme/idea is hosted by TheStorySiren.

The book that I bought is:
- Nobody's Princess by Esther Friesner

I have put this book on my fall into reading challenge and just couldn't wait to buy it. The story sounds just so delightful!

Description Nobody's Princess:
She is beautiful, she is a princess, and Aphrodite is her favorite goddess, but something in Helen of Sparta just itches for more out of life. Not one to count on the gods—or her looks—to take care of her, Helen sets out to get what she wants with steely determination and a sassy attitude. That same attitude makes Helen a few enemies—such as the self-proclaimed "son of Zeus" Theseus—but it also intrigues, charms, and amuses those who become her friends, from the famed huntress Atalanta to the young priestess who is the Oracle of Delphi.

The book that I recieved for REVIEW is: (E-BOOK)
- Dirty Little Angels by Chris Tusa

The description sounds very good and also interesting. I never read any book like this before, so I hope that it's going to "entertain" me.

Description Dirty Little Angels:
Set in the slums of New Orleans, among clusters of crack houses and abandoned buildings, Dirty Little Angels is the story of sixteen year old Hailey Trosclair. When the Trosclair family suffers a string of financial hardships and a miscarriage, Hailey finds herself looking to God to save her family. When her prayers go unanswered, Hailey puts her faith in Moses Watkins, a failed preacher and ex-con. Fascinated by Moses’s lopsided view of religion, Hailey, and her brother Cyrus, begin spending time down at an abandoned bank that Moses plans to convert into a drive-through church. Gradually, though, Moses’s twisted religious beliefs become increasingly more violent, and Hailey and Cyrus soon find themselves trapped in a world of danger and fear from which there may be no escape.

Ooh, I love the blurb of Nobody's Princess. Can't say I feel the same way about Dirty Little Angels. It sounds quite bleak but hope I'm wrong and that you enjoy it. :)
