My Feelings:

When someone leaves three mystery flowers outside her dorm door, Laurel thinks that maybe the Avondale School isn't so awful after all — until her own body starts to freak out. In the middle of her English presentation on the Victorian Language of Flowers, strange words pop into her head, and her body seems to tingle and hum. Impulsively, Laurel gives the love bouquet she made to demonstrate the language to her spinster English teacher. When that teacher unexpectedly and immediately finds romance, Laurel suspects that something — something magical — is up. With her new friend, Kate, she sets out to discover the origins and breadth of her powers by experimenting on herself and others. But she can’t seem to find any living experts in the field of flower powers to guide her. And her bouquets don't always do her bidding, especially when it comes to her own crush, Justin. Rumors about Laurel and her flowers fly across campus, and she's soon besieged by requests from girls — both friends and enemies — who want their lives magically transformed — just in time for prom.

My Review:
Forget-Her-Nots is a wonderful debut novel. It’s all about flowers and the magic that it holds. When I saw that this book was available to read throughout the international book tours, I grabbed my chance.

Laurel is a 14 year old girl who had to deal with a lot of pain. She lost her mother and she doesn’t has a real good relationship with her father. To me she felt like a lost girl who was looking for something to hold on too. When she finds out that she has a gift, a magical gift, a lot changes. I loved that Laurel had to find out what the magic was and how to deal with it on her own. A lot of times the characters in this kind of books have a lot of help from friends or family, but Laurel had to do this with the help of a book.

Laurel was a sweet character, whose confident grew when she knew the magic she beholds. But she did made a few bad choices and the way she clinched on to Justin, made me want to tell her that a guy is not everything in life. Also I truly believe that Kate was not a really good friend to Laurel. She did stand up for Laurel, but she kind of felt like a girl who really wanted to be friends with the popular ones.

Overall Forget-Her-Nots is a magical book that will make you want to send flowers to the ones you love. Young adult and adults will adore this book and will find Laurel’s gift fascinating.

Aww, this sounds like a lovely read. Whenever I see flowers I usually run away because I'm allergic to all kinds of pollen so if someone left them on my doorstep I'd probably be like 'Aaah!' :P Hehe.
