The Children’s House (1961)
I adore this movie. I mean you have two fabulous actors in one movie, Audrey Hepburn and Shirley Maclaine! They act so well and that little girl Mary, ooh, I hated her guts. I wished her aunt just slapped her. The issue of this movie was in that period of time a very hushed one and therefore they deserve a round of applause. Very brave to do this. I didn’t see what happened at the end coming and therefore thought it was well played out and very realistic. The Children’s House is a movie that must not be missed.
Wuthering Heights (2009)
After reading Wuthering Heights my best friend told me I have to watch the movie with Ralph Fiennes in it. I looked for it, but couldn’t find it. I did stumbled upon this version and I’m glad I bought it. The surroundings, the house, everything was so beautiful. At the start of the movie I did get confused, because I saw Catherine in a red coat and a blue scarf, it looked like Catherine was in 2010 and not in back in 1800’s. Weird! The actors where brilliant in their role and Heathcliff was my favourite.
Wuthering Heights, but just because I own that one on DVD.
