On top of spending most of her time in a bunkerlike safe house and having her dates hijacked by a formidable Fae bodyguard, Faeriewalker Dana Hathaway is in for some more bad news: the Erlking and his pack of murderous minions known as the Wild Hunt have descended upon Avalon. With his homicidal appetite and immortal powers, the Erlking has long been the nightmare of the Fae realm. A fragile treaty with the Faerie Queen, sealed with a mysterious spell, is the one thing that keeps him from hunting unchecked in Avalon, the only place on Earth where humans and Fae live together. Which means Dana’s in trouble, since it’s common knowledge that the Faerie Queen wants her – and her rare Faeriewalker powers – dead. The smoldering, sexy Erlking’s got his sights set on Dana, but does he only seek to kill her, or does he have something much darker in mind?
After reading Glimmerglass I knew that this was going to be one of my favourite series ever.
I was excited to read the sequel and I hoped that it would blow me away as the first book. And it did. It definitely delivered!
Dana is still a strong character. She has her up and downs, but she knows that she’s the only one she can rely on. We get to know a new character, and my oh my is he interesting. Erkling is HOT. I have to say in my mind he was played by Richard Armitage. Obsessed much? Anyway, he was so smooth and he knew how to play Dana very well. And then there are Ethan and Keane. I was so happy we got to read more about Keane in this book. He’s sarcastic, smart and can kick ass. Oh, I almost forgot he’s also very HOT. I still think he would be perfect for Dana, but I guess she’s not thinking the same.
The plot is seriously so good it got me turning pages rapidly. The story is very unpredictable, so there are a lot of moments that surprised me. The whole book was made of awesomeness!
You should definitely check out this series, it's really great!
