My Feelings:

On the night Malcolm and Maud Angel are murdered, Tandy Angel knows just three things: 1) She was the last person to see her parents alive. 2) The police have no suspects besides Tandy and her three siblings. 3) She can't trust anyone—maybe not even herself. Having grown up under Malcolm and Maud's intense perfectionist demands, no child comes away undamaged. Tandy decides that she will have to clear the family name, but digging deeper into her powerful parents' affairs is a dangerous-and revealing-game. Who knows what the Angels are truly capable of?

My Review:
When I saw Confessions of A Murder Suspect at the American Bookstore I had to buy it. Look at that cover. It’s awesome. As you may know I haven’t read a lot of mystery books, so I wanted to be in the right mood to read this book. And two days ago I was.

The characters are great. You have Tandy, the daughter, she feels no emotions, is smart and very calm. Hary, Tandy’s twin brother, is sweet. A bit too emotional, very talented and just cute. The youngest brother is Hugo. I thought he was a bit weird. Like he was eating steroids for breakfast and should be in anger management. The oldest brother, Matthew, the big brother is trying to care for the whole family. Strong. Interesting. Hot. Then we have uncle Peter, the slimeball. The uncle who doesn’t care about his niece and nephews, but cares only about the big jackpot. Money is written al over him and he wants more of it. Samantha was the assistant of Maud, the mother. A woman with many secrets.

As you can tell, when I was reading the story I was thinking of who could have murdered Maud and Malcolm. Who could have been angry enough to do it. Or just plain mad. A lot of characters could have done it, so it was very awesome to try and figure it out.

I have to say that at times Tandy irritated me. At times when Tandy was telling her story she was putting ‘friend’ at the end of her sentences. And that pissed me of. I’m not your friend and stop saying that! She also hints for a secret, but doesn’t tell you what that secret is. She says ‘I’ll tell you later about it’. And then she never does. I hate that!

A big plus is that the book has short chapters. Big applaud for James. Who doesn’t love short chapters?

I liked this book, it wasn’t the best but maybe it’s because it’s the first book in the series. Right? I’m looking forward reading the sequel.

I don't know if I could get past Tandy, but thanks for honest review since I haven't heard much about his one.

I haven't read anything by James Patterson but I do love a great mystery. Even though you didn't like it as much, I think I'd give it a try sometime. Thanks for the review :)

James Patterson is a bit hit or miss with me. I hope if you continue with the series it does end up rocking for you.

Oh, I think some of the same things would bother me as they did you---being addressed as "friend" during the story? I wouldn't like that either. This sounds interesting though! And I do love short chapters! :)

The way Tandy addresses you does sound annoying but I like the sound of the mystery. I haven't read a good mystery in a while.
