My feelings:

Description:
In the year 2086, Camp Eden promises summer “the way things used to be,” back before the oceans rose, the sun became a daily enemy, and modern civilization sank into chaos. Located inside the EdenWest BioDome, the camp is an oasis of pine trees, cool water, and rustic charm.
But all at Camp Eden is not what it seems.
No one will know this better than 15-year-old Owen Parker. A strange underwater vision, even stranger wounds on Owen’s neck, and a cryptic warning from the enchanting lifeguard Lilly hint at a mystery that will take Owen deep beneath Lake Eden and even deeper into the past. What he discovers could give him the chance to save the tattered planet. But first, Owen will have to escape Camp Eden alive.

My Review:
I bought The Lost Code because of two reasons. One, the cover is awesome! It’s pretty darn cool. And two, the premise sounded unique. And who doesn’t like an unique story?

The characters are very interesting. Owen is a young boy, insecure and shy at first but starts to grow into a strong, brave young men. The other characters  are great as well. They all have their role to play and I like that as a reader you don’t know which role that is and on which side they are.

There is a love interest in the book and I liked it. It’s not that very well development, but it was just super sweet and cute. The Atlantean part of the story was super interesting and very adventurous. I’m seriously excited to get the second book in the series. The plot was very well done and I just could picture it in my head like a great adventure movie, something like the Disney movie Atlantis. I do have to say The Lost Code starts with a slow pace, but when the mystery unravels the pace starts to pick up speed and it turns into a page-turner.

I remember reading this when it first came out and liking how unique it was. I am so glad you liked it as well. I really should pick up the other two books soon.

You're right, I didn't know about this one but I also really like the cover. And it's nice to know you have some development of the characters like that. thanks for the review!

Interesting indeed, the Atlantis myth is one of my favorites! The adaptation that I don't like about this is when they take us underwater, I can't get into water-based fantasy. Mermaids are cute and all but for some reason I can never connect with them fishies!

@Blodeuedd:
And it is! :) And if you like reading about Atlantis you will love it.

@Melliane:
You're welcome!I hope you'll give it a try.

@Braine TS:
Yay, mine as well. I love reading everything that has to do with Atlantis. I have to say that I haven't read a lot of books with mermaids involved, but I quite enjoy them. lol. :) Probably because I love the disney version. hihi

I am so thankful I have found your blog and I really appreciate how helpful and encouraging you are. I am a single momma of a wonderful little girl. She is my world!! And I would do anything to be able to stay at home with her. I had no idea of what a blog was until a few months ago. I didn’t even know about Pinterest three years ago. I thought that for me to stay home I would have to be a phone rep or sales person. Wow, if I could be able to just get by, but be able to be do so with my little girl next to me.. I would be extremely blessed. I am so not the social one. It is a little scary. But if I could start a blog and if some mommas out there found me encouraging at all to them, oh, I would be happy. So, this is my goal! I am working full time and barely getting by, but I am going to figure out how to do this!!! Thank you so much for all the resources you have but most importantly for how you present it.

Regards
