My feelings:

Description:
The curse of premonition follows Faye Lithyer, forcing her to witness death—over and over again.
When Faye moves in with her grandmother in Astoria, Oregon, her visions grow stronger.
Faye watches a new friend fall victim to a murder in the not-so-distant future and becomes obsessed with preventing it from happening.
However, Faye's insecurity has her undecided whether she should tell her friend about their impending death or hunt down the murderer before it's too late.
Faye will be faced with an epic choice that threatens to expose her abilities. Will she choose to save her friend from a monster or risk becoming one herself?

My Review:
When I read the description of The Hidden Legacy I immediately asked a copy for review.
It sounded so good! A girl with the curse of premonition! Hello? Need to read it.

Faye is a great character. She is very powerful, but doesn't really know how to control her powers.
I love the relationship Faye has with her grandmother, but I needed
a bit more dialogue between them. I wanted to feel the warmth between these two family members.
I adore Fayes friends. The only thing that I found a bit off was that on the first day she meets her *new best* friends. Right away, like that, they become best buds. I mean, everything is possible, but at a new school, new environment, new everything, I found it a bit off.

The plot is great, fast-paced and well written. Early on I did had a feeling that something
was not quite right about one of the characters. So when that person turned evil, I didn't find it a big surprise.

When the ending came, it came with a cliffhanger. And you know me and cliffhangers,
I love them when I have the second book on my bookshelves. I hate them when I don't have the
second book. I also do not like them if the cliffhanger is just an iffy one. One that you just don't
care about. A cliffhanger should be so exciting that after reading the book you just can't wait to have your
hands on the next one. My reaction to this cliffhanger was: 'oh, really? hmmmm....yeah
okay'. See, that's not a great reaction.

I do want to read the second book to learn more about the characters and find out what's going to happen to them. But, I don't have the need to read it right now.

All in all, I did enjoyed reading The Hidden Legacy and I do recommend it to everyone
who likes a good sci-fi/ fantasy book. Just don't expect that you will be blown away by
the ending.

Wow, not something I wanna see over and over again

Nina  – (28 oktober 2017 om 08:58)

@Blodeuedd: That's for sure! :)

I can see why you asked for it immediately. It does sound really good!

Suzanne at The Bookish Libra  – (28 oktober 2017 om 12:17)

This sounds like a really good read, but that's a shame about the cliffhanger just being kind of average. I'm only a fan of cliffhangers if they really wow me.

Alyssa Susanna  – (28 oktober 2017 om 15:14)

The cover is so pretty! The book sounds interesting. Is there any romance? Too bad about the ending - I hate cliffhangers! I'd rather binge-read books. D: Great review!

Have a wonderful weekend. =)

Sounds like an interesting premise!

Literary Feline  – (28 oktober 2017 om 19:02)

I can see why you wanted to read this one! The premise makes me want to read it too. I am sorry about the ending. Hopefully the next book will make up for it.

Melliane  – (29 oktober 2017 om 02:34)

it's too bad about the ending there...

Nina  – (29 oktober 2017 om 06:32)

@Lost Geek: The premise sounded so good.

@Suzanne: Me too! I love cliffhangers, but they have to be really good!

@Alyssa: There is a bit of romance in the story, but nothing to deep.

@Midnight Cowgirl: The plot is really good, just the ending.

@Literary Feline: I hope so as well. Fingers crossed.

@Melliane: If the ending was better, I probably would have given it 4 stars.

Thanks for sharing! Sorry about the "eh" kind of cliffhanger. Doesn't really make you that excited. LOL

Agreed, if there is going to be cliffhanger I want an epic one!

Sara @ Forever 17 Books  – (30 oktober 2017 om 08:02)

I hate evil cliffhangers! Sometimes they can be really well done but it doesn't sound like the case here. Sigh.

Nina  – (30 oktober 2017 om 12:40)

@Laurel-Rain Snow: You're welcome!

@Shooting Stars Mag: I can totally understand. If the cliffhanger was done so much better I would be jumping to get my hands on the second book. I hope you do give it a try. But, just borrow it at the library.

@Kimberly: Yes, Epic cliffhanger! Love those.

@Sara: When they are really well done, I just adore them.

Melissa (Books and Things)  – (30 oktober 2017 om 12:47)

HATE cliffies but still glad you want to continue the story. I don't mind not being surprised about the bad guy but it is more fun when that happens. This might be a good entertaining book for me, but not until the second book- without cliffie- is out. :D

Nina  – (30 oktober 2017 om 13:00)

@Melissa: I love to have the second book waiting on my shelves after I read a book with a really great cliffhanger. :)
