Top Ten Favorite Books of 2017.

The Broke and the Bookish created this weekly feature where bloggers/readers can post their top ten list.

This year I haven't read a lot of books, but I did read some books that stood out for me. So I'm going to do a little twist to this topic. I'm going to show you ten books I love, some of them were read in 2017 and some in previous years.

Carrie Pilby by Caren Lissner
From What I Remember by Stacey Kramer & Valerie Thomas

Do I really need to explain why I love both of these books? If you've been checking out different posts on this blog, you already know my love for these books.

A Midsummer's Nightmare by Kody Keplinger
My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick

When I started to read more contemporary stories, these two were the first ones to be read by me & I absolutly adored them. I think with these books my love for contemporary started.

Fated by Alyson Noel
The Theory of Everything by Kari Luna

The Devouring by Simon Holt
Strange Angels by Lili St.Crow

Strange Angels is one of my favourite paranormal series and when I think of my favourite scary read I always mention The Devouring, so good.

Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas
Poison Princess by Kresley Cole

After reading Throne of Glass I immediately bought the other four books on Kindle and binge read them. Another one of my favourite series. I really enjoyed reading them. Arcana Chronicles is another five star series for me!

@Blodeuedd: A pretty good year, yes! :)

Susan  – (12 december 2017 om 07:22)

I haven't read any of these, but several of them are on my TBR mountain chain. I'll get to them some day ... :)

Happy TTT!

Nina  – (12 december 2017 om 07:29)

@Susan: Yay! I hope you will get to them one day. :)

Crazy Lady  – (12 december 2017 om 08:17)

I adore Lilith Saintcrow, although I haven't read any of her young adult books yet. Great list!

Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!

Heather G.  – (12 december 2017 om 08:21)

Strange Angels was a good one! Didn't finish the series, though. Glad you found some good ones this past year!

Nina  – (12 december 2017 om 08:27)

@Crazy Lady: You totally should read her YA series. I haven't read her adult series, but I love her writing so def. going to try it..just need more time.

@Heather G: What, why? I loved it so much!

Lauren  – (12 december 2017 om 08:40)

From What I Remember! What a blast from the past! I LOVED that book - I wish Stacey and Valerie would write another YA. My life Next Door is also an amazing book, and seeing it reminds me I still need to read Huntley's other books. Great list, Nina! :)

Nina  – (12 december 2017 om 08:42)

@Lauren: I know, right! How can I not put that one on the list! Me too! I need them to write more books together.

Ashley Sapp  – (12 december 2017 om 12:44)

Great list! I LOVED Strange Angels! Thanks for sharing! :)

Alicia AKernelofNonsense  – (12 december 2017 om 13:08)

I've always been curious about Strange Angels. Glad to hear you really liked it. Thanks for reminding me :)

Suzanne at The Bookish Libra  – (12 december 2017 om 14:24)

I actually haven't read any of these yet, although Throne of Glass is on my TBR. I'll have to check out your other titles as well since you enjoyed them so much.

Kristin @ Addicted to HEA  – (12 december 2017 om 15:58)

I've read Fated and I really liked that one. It seems we like the same type of paranormal!! And of course I just haven't had time to read Throne of Glass but I own it (hangs head in shame). I own too many unread books, it's very sad... Great list!!!

Just Another Girl and Her Books  – (12 december 2017 om 23:15)

It can be so hard to pick ten books from a single year that were the best books that year...So I like your spin on the topic of ten books you've absolutely loved from whenever.

Have a great week. - Katie

@Just Another Girl and Her Books: Thank you! This year I just haven't read enough great books to put on this list. Hopefully 2018 will be a year I read a lot of great books.

@Kristin: Really? That's awesome, that means you can give me great recommendations. Looking forward exploring your blog.

@Suzanne: Please do. All of them are great books.

@Alicia: You're welcome.

@Ashley: My favourite series!

Louise  – (13 december 2017 om 09:33)

I haven't read any of the books you've mentioned, but I think I've had a Midsummer's Nightmare on my TBR for a long time now :)

Nina  – (13 december 2017 om 09:41)

@Louise: I hope some of the books sparked your interest!

Shell  – (16 december 2017 om 14:40)

I don't think Poison Princess gets enough hype. It's a really good series. The author seems to be self-publishing the books now, though. Which I don't know how to feel about...

If you haven't already, I hope you enjoy reading the rest of the series. XD

Nina  – (17 december 2017 om 01:44)

@Shell: I agree with you & I'm not sure why. The series is really good! I didn't know that.

Lindsey @ Lindsey Reads  – (17 december 2017 om 05:41)

Throne of Glass is one of my fave series too! And I heard a lot about the Arcana Chronicles, so happy to hear it's a five star read for you! Must get to it soon :)

Nicola Reads YA  – (17 december 2017 om 08:06)

I'm a huge fan of the Throne of Glass series and they are definitely binge readable! I did the same when I discovered them until I caught up. Have you read her other series, A Court of Thorns and Roses? I love that one too. :)

Nina  – (17 december 2017 om 08:55)

@Lindsey: Yay! I'm sure you will adore the series aswell. It's so good!

@Nicola Reads YA: Yes, I loved binge reading them & I have a thing now for binge reading series. I haven't read her other series, but I keep hearing that they are great. In 2018 I will get them.

Rissi  – (18 december 2017 om 18:49)

I saw the Carrie Pilby film before I realized it was adapted from a YA novel. Though I've not gone back and read the book, I do LOVE the film, so someday, perhaps I will discover its charms. :)

Thanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland last week, Nina. :)

Nina  – (19 december 2017 om 10:10)

@Rissi: I still need to watch the movie. You should def. check the book out, it's really good! One of my favourites!

Lynn  – (27 december 2017 om 10:11)

I have read only one book on your list, Throne of Glass, I read it for the first time this year as well! Still need to continue the series though! Have a wonderful week and happy reading!

Rissi  – (2 januari 2018 om 19:34)

Thanks, Nina! I'll have to remember the book for my next Amazon shopping spree. :)

Appreciate you stopping by Finding Wonderland.
